Recent Sightings

There is still no sign of Hotwheels case N for 2012 here in KK. While case N for this year is being distributed in Malaysia, Pacific Ngiukee store took out their old stock on the pegs; it was last year's case N. This is a chance for those who still haven't got their Skyline HT 2000GT-R or the BTTF, plenty of green Brasilia there too.

Lots of old MBX 5-packs too.

Besides that, some random models have been spotted at a toy shop next to Yoyo Cafe in Centre Point.. they also have the monster FJ Cruiser and Audi Q7 from my earlier post!

There's even a 599XX, but the Megane Trophy looks nice!

At KK Toys, more E20 cars are still available there. There's also one HW Boulevard Vector, its been on the pegs for about a week or so.

Case L cars on pegs at KK Toys.

Finally, I went to Parkson Wawasan Plaza. No new HW or MBX, but there is some restock for Bburago's 1:32 Street Fire Collection. Got myself the Police Gallardo!

New assorted Bburago models.

Spotted some nice Maisto models too, didn't get them though..

Might get this soon~ reminds me of Bumble bee!

1:18 Camaro SS

A Trade and Monster Truck Buy

There hasn't been much Hotwheels or Matchbox restock these few weeks, but I managed to trade a treasure hunt and one basic HW for this unriveted Megane Trophy. Yes, I do collect error cars.

Unriveted Meganes are somehow common in the E20 wave.
Besides that, while going on my usual hunting rounds yesterday, my sixth sense told me to drop by at Karamunsing Toys. I searched deep in the shop but found nothing of interest. As I was stepping out of the store, I happened to look down in front of the cashier table and saw some monster trucks. But it wasn't really trucks, but it was more to monster Toyota FJ Cruisers and monster Audi Q7s.

The FJ Cruiser came in two colours: yellow and black.

I was really surprised to see these toys.. what more a FJ Cruiser! I checked the price and it cost about RM 15 each (USD 5 each). I grabbed the remaining two FJ Cruisers there. The monster Q7 didn't look that appealing, so I left it there. The body is die cast with openable doors, and the wheels are rubber wheels! The only con about these toys is that there is not much suspension.

Here are more shots of these cute monster FJ Cruisers.. I don't think I would see these anywhere else.
Each are about 8 cm in height.

One reason why it was rather cheap considering its decent quality and appearance, was that it was some sort of imitation product and the manufacturer had not gain permission from Toyota to use the Toyota logo and name. So its just 'Auto' in the place of Toyota, on the front grill:

But overall, I'm very happy to have added these two to my die cast collection. Hope to see more such items in the future again!

New Hotwheels - E20 (Case L) Reaches KK

I have been busy these few weeks, but I've still managed to make some time to go for some Hotwheels hunting. Early in the month, the exciting case L with code E20 arrived in my hometown. To be honest, I thought this case would come a little later say in October but it showed up early.

Several stores around KK restocked this wave, and one of the first was the Signature. I did not have the time to take on the site shots, so these are what I bought from there, plus a few I bought online:

E20 cars (case L)

And here are some sightings at Giant City Mall:

D40, D51, E15 restock on September 1st.

And this morning I returned to see this unexpected sight.. I had to rush home and grab my camera for some on the site photos. When I returned, the Evo X and Evo Rally was gone! Wow, Hotwheels is indeed a fast moving item.

E20 restock on September 13th.

Peninsula Malaysia already received their share of case N (E24, E26) recently. Its the Red Bird and Mystery Machine wave! Hopefully it does arrive here in Sabah! Till then, that's it.
